Juneau UMC will be having a Winter Fest on December 5th. Get in the spirit of the season with Cookie Decorating, movie watching, and holiday celebrations! We've specifically targeted the 1 - 4th graders at Dodgeland Schools. Flyers went home with the kids last week. This isn't just for the Dodgeland kids, we invite everyone to come and enjoy celebrating the Holidays! The event begins at 1:00 p.m. We are also looking for people to help that day. If you are available, please contact either Nancy Krueger or Pastor Allie.
Even though we made the decision not to collect items for the troops as a church this year, there may still be some of you who are interested in sending donations on your own. If you go to the Connect page and look under Support the Troops you will find a list of items that they collect and where to send them. Phone numbers and email addresses are also listed.
Another successful Chili Supper in the books. Our free will offering took in $809. Thanks to everyone who donated food, helped make soup and chili, worked the dining area and helped clean up. The food was very, very good. Check out the connect page for pictures of the Supper.
Another successful Craft Fair went into to books on Saturday, October 17th. We had a lot of new people to stop and purchase crafts, but also to get baked goods and a good lunch. We ran out of potato soup by 1:00 p.m. and had very little left of the hot turkey sandwiches by the time we wrapped up. Thanks to everyone to came out and supported our efforts. So far we have raised over $800 and are still counting. The money we raised goes toward our Pledge to Mission and any other need we see fit during the year.
A big thank you for everyone who helped with set up, take down, serving, cleaning, cooking, baking and those who just donated to the July and August Brat Fry and Cupcake Sale, as well as the September Ham & Turkey Dinner. Between the 3 events we raised $1975 that is going towards the next phase of window replacement/repair in Juneau. Go to the Connect page and then Juneau United Methodist Women to look at the pictures from these events.
Go to the Connect page under the Lowell United Methodist Women to check out the pictures from the August 2015 Pie Social. Good food and fellowship and loads of fun were had by all.
Check out the What's Happening page under Events & News. There are a lot of events coming up at the churches they you don't want to miss. Then check back after the event, under the individual church to see the pictures and results.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Heifer International Cupcake Sales & Special Offering. We raised $700 and purchased the following items: Tree seedlings, a flock of ducks, a goat, a pig, a sheep, rabbits, bees, chicks and a llama. Check out the pictures on the connect page under Sunday School - Juneau for pictures of the delicious cupcakes/cookies that were sold. |
